This hunger-focused training summit is designed for people working or volunteering to end poverty and hunger in Minnesota - including those new to advocacy and those who are veterans.  The 2-day training is intended to strengthen statewide efforts to improve access to proper nutrition for those in poverty and will include discussions and workshops on food stamp policy and outreach, child nutrition, educating legislators, media strategies, and more.  Hunger Solutions Minnesota and Legal Aid are hosting the summit with generous support from MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger and the Community Action Partnership of Suburban Hennepin.

The summit will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 13.

A detailed agenda will be available in October.
